At GSW Trade, Inc., our environmental mission is to further reduce the global carbon footprint. We have been able to accomplish this by repairing and redistributing over 98% of all the devices that we purchase. Our efforts are preventing major environmental repercussions, and we will continue to do everything we can to renew devices and keep them in circulation.
It goes without saying, that there are many device models that are now obsolete and need to be properly recycled. GSW Trade, Inc. enforces a strict zero landfill policy for all devices which we recycle. Electronic waste makes up more than half of toxins found in landfills today. With these growing environmental concerns, it is important that companies employ an environmental responsibility policy to avoid being a part of this growing problem. GSW Trade, Inc. offers its recycling services for obsolete, retired, and no longer needed - mobile phones, tablets, batteries, chargers and other accessories - for free.
Zero Landfill Policy - All batteries, accessories, and shredded materials are recycled in R2, ISO Certified, EPA-registered facilities where the materials are reclaimed for reuse.
e-Stewards Certified - All of GSW Trade, Inc.'s downstream recycling partners are e-Stewards Certified. e-Stewards is the leading global certification program designed to educate and help organizations realize recyclers that are committed to the highest standard of environmental responsibility and operational personnel protection.
R2 Certification - R2 requires electronic recyclers to assure that downstream vendors all the way to final disposition manage more toxic material streams safely and responsibly. It also prohibits recyclers from exporting these more toxic materials to countries that have enacted laws making their import illegal.
Registered to ISO 14001 - As part of e-Stewards, all of our downstream recycling partners are ISO 14001 Certified, a notable achievement for recyclers who adhere to the strictest Environmental Management Systems.
Device Degaussing - Devices which cannot be reused or repurposed are shredded free of charge. SIM cards and external memory cards are micro-shredded.
Zero Landfill Policy - All shredded materials, batteries and accessories are recycled in an ISO Certified, EPA-registered facility where the materials are reclaimed for reuse.
Certificates of Recycling - GSW Trade, Inc. will provide certificates of recycling for clients and partners upon request.
